Avast antivirus help?

Question by : Avast antivirus help?
I recently went to the avast website and installed their “avast antivirus” free version. After i installed it avast tells me to complete installation i should restart my computer. When i restart my computer and the desktop comes back up my laptop keyboard locks up and the laptop mouse box is locked up also. I use a wireless mouse also and it works perfectly. Its just the laptop keyboard and laptop mouse box thing. By laptop mouse box thing i mean the part on the laptop where you run your finger around the black box to move the pointer. They only thing that unlocks my keyboard and mouse again is a system restore. please help. i really love avast and want to use it

Thats a Very unusual Issue.

Have you tried re-connecting your Wireless mouse & Keyboard?

And the Black box thing is called the ‘TouchPad’ Input Device.

If you cant reconnect your Wireless input devices(Mouse, Keyboard)

Maybe try another good free antivirus such as…

Avira, MSE, AVG.

Hope it helps :)

Windows has defender preinstalled on many versions, if it is not turned off your computer may bottleneck running 2 anti-virus programs , then to it sounds as if your bootloader is not loading drivers for your mouse and keyboard which leads me to think that it is not the antivirus, I have seen avast not detect any problems, but their bootscan did find pups
