Clam Antivirus
Clam AntiVirus is an open source (GPL) anti-virus toolkit for UNIX, designed especially for e-mail scanning on mail gateways. It provides a number of utilities including a flexible and scalable multi-threaded daemon, a command line scanner and advanced tool for automatic database updates. The core of the package is an anti-virus engine available in a form of shared library.

- built-in support for almost all mail file formats
- built-in support for ELF executables and Portable Executable files compressed with UPX, FSG, Petite, NsPack, wwpack32, MEW, Upack and obfuscated with SUE, Y0da Cryptor and others
- built-in support for popular document formats including MS Office and MacOffice files, HTML, RTF and PDF

- AIX: The binary packages for AIX are available in AIX PDSLIB, UCLA. Daily built precompiled snapshots are available too
- OSF: Daily built precompiled snapshots are available at http://clamav.or.id/snapshot/
- Solaris: Stable packages and daily snapshots for Solaris 8 SPARC. Latest stable packages for Solaris 9 and 10 SPARC 64bit also available.
- HP-UX: HP ships ClamAV binary packages for HP-UX 11iv1 (11.11) and 11iv2 (11.23) as part of the Internet Express. The packages are maintained by HP: HP-UX 11.11/11iv1 and HP-UX 11.23/11iv2
- OpenVMS: Alexey Chupahin has ported ClamAV to OpenVMS
- Win32: A native port for win32 is available at http://w32.clamav.net . It is maintained by Nigel Horne .
